Microsoft Windows Installer service
is a built-in feature in Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista. With it, developers
is able to reduce total cost to efficiently build and configure applications
for Windows systems.Sometimes, you may receive this error message "Error
1719: The Windows Installer service could not be accessed". That is Windows
Installer error. It occurs because some critical files are either missing or
damaged. You may receive that error when you are installing or uninstalling
your application software.
How to Fix Windows Installer Error |
Method 1
To fix the Error, you can choose to
use a those registry error fixers. I will recommend a great error fixer at the
end of this article. If you want to fix the error manually, please follow the
following steps.
- To fix the error manually, you have first to re-register the Msiexec.exe.(Note that the methods described following are the Windows XP. There will be some minor variations for other Windows OS. )
- Open the Registry Editor by clicking start Run... and type regedit. The Registry Editor will be opened
- Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesMSIServer"
- Double-click the 'Imagepath' key. Verify that the Value Data should be "Drive:WindowsSystem32Msiexec.exe /V" If the field carries any other value, then correct it and click 'OK' to apply your changes
- Exit the 'Edit String' box then close the Registry Editor window
- Restart your PC in Safe mode by pressing F8 at system startup
- "start > Run...", type "C:WindowsSyswow64Msiexec /regserver" and press "OK". Then, restart your computer normally.
By completing these steps, the
Windows Installer error should be solved. If you do not familiar with editing
registry, I strongly suggest you to use a registry error fixer to solve the
problem for you. A proper error fixer can fix the Installer Error for you by
just a few clicks. And it can also scan your computer for other errors and
solve them in one go. Your computer then will have less error messages,
blue screens and crashes.
To prevent your computer from
errors, please try ErrorFix. It can absolutely fix Windows Installer Error for you and your computer will also be immune to many other
errors as well. For other details please see the Best PC Error Fixer Review.
